Charity Work
In May 2010, James Bird Landscapes LTD, with the support and sponsorship from many of our clients sent one of our longest serving team members to My-Tho, Vietnam as part of a Global village challenge.
Habitat for humanity are a non-profit organisation who work the world over with the sole belief that everybody has the right to a decent standard of living, and it is with this charity, that Paul Johnson joined a group of like minded people to help in the building of a home for a family, who, without the aid of HFH would have long been forgotten.
“Taking part in the Global village challenge has been a life changing experience that I will never forget, it’s easy to take for granted the relative comfort that we have become so accustomed to.”
“My time in My-Tho has been both physically and emotionally draining, but seeing the smiles on the homeowners faces at the end of a hard days graft was the biggest motivation you could ever need.”
On behalf of the home owners and Habitat for Humanity, Thank you to everyone who supported us, your sponsorship not only built a home, but gave hope to an entire community.
To borrow a quote from our Global Challenge Team leader “by building walls we’re knocking down boundaries” a little cheesy I know, but it sums up what we achieved nicely.
Paul Johnson.
